4. Returns and Refund Policy
- This Return and Refund Policy applies to all trailer spares and related products supplied by our company. This policy is subject to the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”).
- If any trailer spare supplied by us is defective, unsafe, or fails to meet the standards contemplated in the CPA, you may return the product within 6 months from the date of delivery. Upon return of such goods, we will send the items to the manufacturer for inspection (up to 4 weeks waiting time) and verification of defects. Depending on the outcome you may choose to have the item repaired or replaced. Returns of defective goods will be handled at your risk and expense and will be refunded to you if it is found to be a valid defect.
- Returns of non-defective goods may be accepted at our discretion, provided that:
- The return request is made within 7 days of purchase or delivery.
- The goods are received by us, unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging.
- The goods are suitable for resale.
- The goods will be returned to us at customers own risk and expense.
In such cases, we may:
- Exchange the item, or
- Issue a store credit or refund, subject to a reasonable handling or restocking fee where applicable.
- The following items may not be eligible for return unless defective:
- Electrical components that have been installed or used.
- Special order or custom parts.
- Products damaged due to incorrect installation, misuse, or negligence.
- Products altered or modified after purchase.
- Trailer components must be installed and used according to manufacturer specifications. We will not be responsible for defects or damage caused by:
- Incorrect installation.
- Improper use.
- Overloading of trailers.
- Use of parts for unintended purpose.
- All returns must be accompanied by a proof of purchase (invoice or receipt).
- To initiate a return:
- Contact us and provide your order or invoice number.
- Provide details of the product and reason for return.
- We will provide instructions for inspection, return, repair, replacement, or refund.
5. Shipping and Delivery Policy
- All orders are shipped via The Courier Guy. By placing an order, you agree to the use of this third-party courier service for delivery.
- Orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment has been successfully confirmed via PayFast. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
- Estimated delivery times are as follows (excluding processing time): Please note that these are estimates and may vary due to factors beyond our control.
- Main centres: 1–3 business days
- Regional/outlying areas: 2–5 business days
- Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and destination of your order. Additional charges may apply for bulky or heavy trailer parts.
- Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking number to monitor your delivery via The Courier Guy’s tracking system.
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery details. We will not be held liable for delays or failed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete address information.
- Delivery Conditions
- A responsible person must be available at the delivery address to receive and sign for the parcel.
- The courier may require identification upon delivery.
- If no one is available, the courier may attempt redelivery or return the parcel to us.
- Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery. Ownership of goods remains with us until full payment has been received.
- Customers must inspect parcels upon delivery. Any damage, shortages, or discrepancies must be reported to us within 24 hours of receipt. Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted.
- While we aim to ensure timely delivery, we are not responsible for delays caused by The Courier Guy, weather conditions, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Certain remote or high-risk areas may incur longer delivery times or additional charges. In such cases, we will notify you before dispatch.
- Customers may choose to collect orders directly from our premises, where available. You will be notified when your order is ready for collection.
6. Secure Payment Processing
- All online payments are securely processed via PayFast. By making a payment on our website, you agree to be bound by PayFast’s terms and conditions, which are available on their official website.
- We do not store or have access to your full payment details. All sensitive information is encrypted and handled directly by PayFast using secure encryption technology. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
- Payments may be made using the methods supported by PayFast, including but not limited to credit cards, Instant EFT, and other available options displayed at checkout.
- A transaction is only considered complete once payment has been successfully processed and confirmed by PayFast. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order if payment is not authorized or is flagged as fraudulent.
- All prices displayed on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time without prior notice.
- We shall not be held liable for any loss, damages, or delays arising from the use of PayFast, including but not limited to system errors, downtime, or payment processing failures beyond our control.
